45 pounds cleansing

My name is Octavio. Our family has been vegetarian for years now.
However, I have found that you can be vegetarian and have unhealthy eating habits at the same time. How? Well, eating lots of bread, pasta, sugar "loaded" food, etc.
Last year my daughter started to research about proper nutrition and to put into practice the learning. I was watching her for a while, and one day, decided to try a cleansing "raw food diet".
I started to eat mostly raw vegetables and fruits, sprouts, seeds, nuts, chocolate (the healthy kind) and a few of the raw "goodies" that my daughter would make.
In just a few days I started to feel the difference: an energy boost and had unexpected weight loss. My body was definitely cleansed.
I have to recognize that I was strict to this only for a couple of months, however during the following two months, on Fridays I would not eat anything, only drink water.
In 6 months I went from 169 to 124 lbs, and from size 34 to 30.
I can do 15 chin ups in a row, in addition to my regular daily yoga and stretches, and usually I feel better physically than in my teens.
I am not recommending "my way" to anyone, however, this is my story. I have been able to keep my weight off for another 4 months (still going). I will share more again next year, to see how I am progressing.
