OK, so I decided to starve my body of candida once and for all. Also, I think I might have parasites, since over 90% of people do (and I have cats!)

Ugh! I know. So I have to go radical, and just do the raw low glycemic diet. I guess I already have a really healthy diet, so it's not much for me to switch. I have been eating out and having junk a bit too much lately though, so I feel I need to get back on track.

I can't starve my body with a master cleanse, since I am still breastfeeding a one-year-old. I decided to ease into this non-extreme but still difficult low-glycemic cleanse slowly, so as not to suffer any side effects. Ah!! How do I live without fruits, dates and honey?? Here is my mini-journal:

Day 1: Start my day with banana ice cream with chocolate sauce (feast before fast!) Frozen bananas blended with coconut oil. Raw cocoa powder, coconut oil, raw honey, banilla and a pinch of salt for the sauce!! Delicious. A completely low-glycemic salad for lunch with tons of greens and sprouts - here I go. Dinner was 3 helpings of zuchinni pasta, I guess I was really hungry compensating for the lack of sugar in my system. I feel great, light and energized today. Feeling some aches at night, must be the toxins creeping out of my liver.

Day 2: Start off with a low-glycemic smoothie: berries, almond mylk, stevia, coconut oil and bee pollen. Yum. Been drinking a raspberry leaf, mint leaf and clove tea that I concocted, which is supposed to help cleanse the gut.

Also invented a healthy drink in between meals to help the cleansing along: mix 1 tbsp greens+ powder, with 1 tbsp bentonite clay, with the juice of1/2 a lemon in a glass of water. Actually tastes good too! It is very sweet so I am not craving any fruits at all - this is good.

Day 3: Bowels are moving fantastically! Just thought I should share ;). Feeling tired and a bit achy all over, but full and no cravings so far. Delicious food is key to this diet. What a better way to spend the day than at Pure, the raw food restaurant??? Had a green juice and salad.

Mmmm.....couldn't resist biting into the ripest, juiciest organic nectraine after dinner tonight. I guess the candida gets a little snack.

Day 4: Doing alright with my berry smoothies and stevia in tea and everything. This cleanse feels great on the body. I feel light and happy and full of creative inspiration! I guess that's why Gabriel calls it "spiritual nutrition". My soul is happy, and I've been doing yoga for a bit, every morning and night.

Now I am starting to want more "forbidden foods" though. Not even because I crave them, but because I am constantly hungry. I miss chocolate.

Day 5: I think I am done doing this cleanse, but I already feel tons better! I guess I'm not going to completely eliminate the candida this time....I think it takes about 3 months for the average person!!! No way. But it was fun and delicious and everything tastes great. Slipping back into old habits like honey in my tea, fruits and some cooked grains and beans. Too hungry and tired!! I guess it's not for breastfeeding women.

On a level of 1-10...I'd give this cleanse a 9.6. Lots of good food to eat, and your body feels absolutely amazing, energized, light and flexible. Also makes you happy :) I hope you last longer than I did on it!
