The Spa Chiang Mai Resort

I did a detox about 5 weeks ago in Thailand.

The main reason I did it was just so that I could feel better. I basically just wanted more energy.

The detox was 7 days, no eating, detox drinks (Bentonite and juice), herbal pills, veggie broth soup and coconut water (my saviour!)

I felt incredibly weak the entire time... Most people there felt a lot better after the 3rd day but that never happened to me. Some people said it might be because I don't have very much body fat to "keep me going".

I didn't really feel very hungry, but everything was difficult. I had to really push myself just to walk to the pool or to the detox. Needless to say, I spent a lot of time in bed watching T.V.

I also did 2 Colema's daily...or coffee enema's...whatever you like to call them. This was an experience for sure. They're not fun but boy, when you're feeling horrible they sure do make you feel better.

It was like heaven on the morning I broke the fast. I ate some fresh raw fruit and it tasted out of this world!

Best part about it? I don't even have the urge to eat unhealthy food anymore. Fresh raw fruit and veggies are what I crave. So, despite it being incredibly difficult...I think it was worth it.

I may try doing a detox again...but I prefer to not "retox" so I don't have to keep going back to places like this.

1 recommendation I do have is to go somewhere like I did. A spa which has got lots of things for you to do. Pools, massage, steam rooms, yoga, massage. It keeps your mind busy so you don't think about food all the time.

All the best
